About the event

Connect through the power of free flowing movement! Ecstatic dance is an opportunity for joy to be felt through your whole body and soul. There is no right or wrong way to dance here -- come as you are and express all that asks to be expressed.  Create lightness by allowing yourself the permission to let music literally move you; physically, emotionally, and energetically. Do you feel the deep desire in your DNA to share in celebratory community spaces where you can get a little weird, a little silly, and a whole lot accepted for who you are? Well this is a welcoming space to release all thoughts of how you think you "should" be in the world and to set free all the messy, beautiful, playful, wildness that wants to shine. The playlist will be a blend of several genres, all specially chosen to provide immaculate vibes and that glorious feeling where you actually can't NOT wiggle.

Timeline for the evening:

6:45 Doors open, arrive & settle in

7:00 Opening sacred space, community circle (with Equinox & Solstice Cacao offerings)

7:20 Free flow movement & dance begins

8:30 Grounding meditation & community closing circle

Community Agreements:

1. Consent is key, please respect people's space and energy. We encourage you to use this time to connect within your own body and energy, bringing movement and awareness to what wants to move through YOU. If you would like to dance with someone else it must be mutually agreed upon.

2. Body positivity is IN ya'll, we are intentionally creating a safe space for all bodies and backgrounds. This is a space for kindness and free expression. If you come with the intention of judging others, there are plenty of other places to do that around here on the weekend.

3. Presence is potent, we ask that you leave screens behind and engage fully with your movement in the moment. No photos or filming of the free dance is permitted. This also means that this time is specifically for movement and not verbally socializing. It's okay to sound freely (yip' your joy to the room!) but please refrain from full fledged conversation. This also means that anything which comes between you and your full presence (like alcohol) is discouraged.

We can't wait to dance with you!
